The real shame is they put others' lives in danger for their stupidity.  For a fish!!

A recent airboat rescue was for a dog out from Bridgeport.

I disagree with this ideology.  One could argue we put first responders in danger driving, or pulling us over on the highway, or if we are unlucky and have a house fire.  Last time I checked no one forces anyone to be a first responder.  You choose the profession knowing there is inherent risk.

looks like someone out there right now or a  shanty left  from a  prior rescue......

most  of the rescuers are  volunteers, usually  vfd personal  that only wish  to help keep  people and property safe. putting these  people at added risk is  shameful ,selfish, and stupid...........

and that is  someone  out  at the  beach fishing

From a guy who normally gets out a couple dozen times or more a season…. and, loves ice-fishing….. I hope the ice blows out and the lake opens up at this point. I pray that next season locks up early and we all can get a full season in!! 😎

The wind just started here.

Looking at the forecast there's 2 nights above freezing in the next 2 weeks...

If ice couldn’t hold the person being rescued then yes I’d say the helicopter wouldn’t be able to touch down, very good observation

That wind is cranking and white caps are headed that way! I can't see that section breaking up but who knows. They can ride the waves right in to shore.
