I think it spawning season for suckers or close to it.
I prefer a 2oz sinker for perch...when it hits 'em they won't feel a thing

Hey KP, I tried that rod you gave me up at Chaumont yesterday and hammered the perch. Jeez Larry, when you said the hooksets from that thing would make them go cross-eyed I thought you just meant that figuratively but one of the jumbos I landed looked like the walleye I was looking for on the screen and drove the hook home.  I released about 80 perch that day so if anyone happens to catch one of these “2nd chancers” I apologize in advance. PS- I didn’t take a picture of that fish but this gives you an idea of what I’m talking about…

😂 Chris, I warned you about getting to aggressive with those rods on hook sets!! Nasty!!😈 the ol buzzard, Freddie, would be proud!!!😜 I’ve felt fish hitting the bottom of the ice from 50’ away from his hook sets with those rods!!💪🏻😂

Good work on those perch yesterday!!!😎

I think I’d like the 28” for my cramped 1.5 man shanty. I kept whacking the door and roof with my high bite hooksets

I snuck out off the north shore this evening. It was a little damp but the fish didn’t mind.  ;D

I can't complain about this season. Just over 2 months on the ice, at least 12" of beautiful ice, good walleye bite from start to finish, and some good perch action too.

Nice ride KP! We just need to get through mud season, then game on! My Lund has an inside slot too...
Just gave Pete at Anglers Bay a deposit few days ago. Plan on staying at as many rentals as possible this year, doing a comparison, looking for a favorite.
