Your right scout 15 day doesn’t look very promising
By ice or boat them little buggers are going to get caught up with , at least I hope I can remember  how to jig or troll them up 🎣

They are all close together too. Must be nobody wants to go exploring with a spud.

Good for them enjoying the sunshine and fresh air.

So believe it or not landed this fish on Oneida Sunday morning. I have no clue what it is technically considered I hear landlocked Atlantic or just a brown. It might start a world war but any input? Was fishing 25fow he came in at 10’ down I reeled up and he hammered it. Let her go wasn’t sure on the laws or what it was. Plus I already had a bucket of perch and walleye(way better eating imo)

It’s not looking good choo choo.

About 1”-2” of snow on top of 3”-4” of slush on top of 1” of ice.

Yo Bruce,

Come on up bud. We got ice.5 inches on the Pond and 4 inches + @ Green Point. Bring the boys.

Why do you say that? Does it seem like the slush isn’t gunna freeze?

The snow on top will insulate the layer of slush underneath and insulate the ice, keeping slush from freezing and won't build ice, the area I checked today near Chapman only had 2in of ice at most

Wasn’t Chapman open water 2 days ago? 2” sounds like pretty good progress to me.

That ice is not safe. There was 1” of ice, 4” of slush, and 1”-2” of snow on top yesterday.

Just got home from beach.  Went out at noon, walk was awful, landed myself in 23 ft.  Bought the Panoptix livescope this year 10" model, absolutely crazy!!!!  First time getting to use it.  Anyway, 2" of solid ice about 8" on top of that was crap with about 4-5" of snow on top of that.  The first hour i spent setting up, and getting shove ice that was incredibly annoying and incredibly abundant from out of my fishing hole and out of my sonar hole.  Throughout the day i would have to stick my spud down to push over large sheets blocking the holes.  I ended up with 2 perch and 12 eyes before my battery died during primetime 4:30 ish.  Kept these eyes.  Could of used an Uber on the walk back, someday maybe!
