Alright. I need to just stop looking at the weather forecast.

Every time I look at the NOAA 8-14 day outlook it gets worse. It was looking good a few days ago and now it looks really bad. 70% - 80% chance of higher than average temperatures.

Well hopefully they are wrong like they were last week on the extended this time in our favor.  I keep hoping it changes for the better but looks to keep getting worse.  Happy I didn't buy a bunch of new stuff this year or a new sled.

Warm weather is my fault. I bought a new shanty and registered my sled.  :%$#!:

It seem getting good ice on Oneida later in January is becoming the normal weather pattern.  I can remember getting out before Christmas back in the 1980s was normal.

I'll take credit for the late ice last year, but it looks like PerchEyes is the culprit this year.

Sounds like a 12 month golf season for you scout57 starting next year !

a couple of week long winter ice trips north to Oneida to scratch the ice itch... then back south to golf and open water fish until spring...not to shabby if you ask me !
My boots on some ice... A line down a hole...Some fish on the screen... And a flag in the air !......Winter is Good !!

Tell her when she retires you want to look at lakefront houses... then when you find the right one around here take her and show her instead of having 2 places this one permanent.

Yeah they keep moving the carrot just out of reach.

It might be another year like 2012. It can change fast though.
