Why does it get so good at the end?
« on: Apr 01, 2005, 06:13 PM »
Got out today and fished with Uncle Toms gang. Was a gorgeous day and the fish were on the bite and running nice sized. I had the hot jig and plenty of them so I passed them out and we all caught fish and had a blast.

Young feller fishing next to us got the only nice crappie of the day

One of Toms gang Bob, nailed the biggest perch of the day.

I had heck of a day catching over 60 slab gills. The run is ON!

Looks like fun, some nice fish! How many more trips do you have?

The background looks a little blurry in your pics...foggy out near those nondescript trees in the background? :P

Best fishing on ice I ever had was when I took my bellyboat and waded out to the ice that was 25 ft from shore. I then used my icepicks and dragged myself out to the semi-good ice probably another 25ft. Then got up and started fishing. Couldn't keep the rainbows off my jig. Always seems better last ice. I feel sorry for some of you guys whose season closes before the ice is gone.
