Being in R/C now I ordered some of these and are waiting for them to come in. Math tells me a vex battery will light them for days.

I just bought the clam large led sled lights. Does anyone know what the power consumption would be on these for five or six hours.

These are a 400ma string and I tested them a couple times and it is true.

1000ma=1 mah or 1 amp hrs as it draws 1 amp in an hour from your 9ah battery and it will be dead in 9hours. If it is a 2ah draw the battery will be dead in 4 1/2 hours.

In the case of the string I bought: 400ma(miliamps) in 2hours it will draw .8ah. In 5hrs it will use 2ah(amp hours). So in 22 and a half hours a 9ah battery would be dead.

How many amps do your lights draw?
