The shack itself is only 10 ft long all together ist about 16 feet long.  and it cranks down easily in a couple minutes

Very nice ! I wish I lived in a state where I could use such a shack. Wish you the best this winter in your new shanty.

I like the area on the front for your wheeler, and the interior is fit for a king! Good luck with the "Casa Verde"! ;D

Gotta be the nicest shack I have seen. My wife would never see me, she would have to send the divorce papers to the lake! Is there any way that you could take sum pics of the frame ,especially where the jacks tie into it, and post em up ? I would love to build something like it but on a smaller scale.

will you hall the shack with the 4 wheeler when you get to the Ice
or is it to heavey for that. Do you take it on and off the ice or leave it for the winter

I will use the wheeler during early ice to get it out there then eventually I'll just move it with the truck.   As far as leaving it on the ice, I have 6 iceshacks now Most on different lakes.  I usually never lock them or leave anything in them and give permissin to friends to use them a lot. This one( the only crank down one) will go with me every where i go if don't go to one of the permanents. .  I live in Wi and we have a million lakes.  and am also a carpenter so usually I have winters off so I icefish a lot. probly 3-5 days a week.  Its actually really light.  less than 1,000 lbs.  while on the tires I can pick it up in the front and walk it anywhere due to weight displacement.  Im starting to ramble on and on now lol.

They used a gooseneck jack in each corner, but on the next one i build(to sell) I'm going to use ordinary boat style tounge jacks.  one end of the jack attaches to the shack and one end attaches to the trailer frame(with some custom welding)  the two red bars are what holds the frame together while transporting, and the shack also sits on them while transporting.  when you want to lower the shack just crank the jacks up a bit pull the bars out and lower the shack down.   quick and easy

Ty for taking the time to "paint" me a pic! Very helpful and much appreciated! I had thought it would utilize sum kinda "slide thru" bar retaining system for over the road. Thanz for the detail pic/painting.

Can you pull the red bars that support the shack , drop it to the ice, and then pull the trailer clear of it? Seems to look that way, as that would be a great feature also. Oh and thanks again for the pic of the frame etc.

you can't do that because the jack is attached to both the frame and the shack.

Nice looking little setup, can 1 guy drop it easy enough by just dropping it down a little, one corner at a time?

I would love to see more closeup pictures of that frame setup if you ever get a chance to take any.
