Icing eyes home on the range

Iced a local impoundment for eyes this morning. I caught 7 eyes, 3 keepers. The other 4 were 16-17.75. One trout came to play. My friends son caught some eyes and one donkey lip. The weather was beautiful and the fish were active. Couldn't ask for a better end to my 2022 season.
Eyes came on puppet minnows tipped with minnow heads.

Haha haven’t heard donkey lip before.  Was thinking it’d be a largemouth until I saw the pic.  What a day!
