Title: Ski goggles?
Post by: jbird68 on Nov 28, 2018, 09:02 PM
Anyone use ski goggles to keep the wind out of your eyes? I've thought about this for years but never done it. I've worn sunglasses at times but the wind will blow around them and they Even get cold on my nose. What are your thoughts on ski goggles?

I think it's a good idea and am going to start using them because of the reasons you mentioned and I don't have to worry about loosing them down a hole.

most definitely

There are times when it's too sunny or just plain too windy.  Makes a huge difference.

Hmmm... goggles...might be the answer to keep glasses from fogging up. Can get them for about $20 + or -. Thinking 1 polarized pair for sunny days...1 clear for cloudy and fishing out of shack. Sure has piqued my interest as well.  ???

I always wear ski goggles when I'm on a machine.  Paired with a good balaclava, you can hardly even tell you're going 30mph in a 30mph headwind!

I wear ski/atv goggles on windy days, I wear contact lenses and have issues with my eyes if my tears freeze and contact lense begins to float.

I'm not sure what lens to get. Gray,  rainbow,  blue,  red,  yellow? I've seen so many and not sure.

Sounds like an awesome idea. Costco has some pretty nice looking ones. I'll check it out next time I go there. Thanks.

My buddy uses them on ice.  He likes them. 9 tried them but couldn't see myself getting use to wearing them.

One other thing was I have outlines from my glasses from getting snow glare, he has an outline from his goggles. Both look weird but damn, that goggle outline is huge.

Sitting out on the ice long enough the wind might pick up.
Goggles with a face mask are a good choice.
It dobt hurt to bring along a spare fishing glasses.
