I'd like to ge my hands on some seven gallon pails.  I'm thinking they are just a little taller, not wider.

What product came in those pails, any way Pooley?

i didn't know they made that size! :o

they had salt/urea ice melter in it, from when i plowed a UPS facility. they were only a couple of inches taller. now i use 6 gallon for minnow buckets.

i believe they have the seven gallon buckets at home depot. don"t remember what came in them but i think it had to do with driveway sealer. don"t quote me though.

my 7 gallon buckets are 15 years old,and i never saw any again. i don't use buckets as seats, so they are used for storage now.

That's a good start... we have not sold ice melt product in buckets but I will have to check my suppliers

If you guys are looking for buckets you should try Burger King, they will generally sell you their old pickle buckets for aboot $2 each when they have extras, thats where we always got them for bear baiting.

Here are some pics i was finally able to take of that bucket seat i rigged up, a little cumbersome to haul if you are travelling light, but it comes in very handy for thos lon days on the ice. Its nice to able to lean back on occasion. It snaps on very well and doesnt pop off if you lean too much forward or backward.

mine just arrived from bass pro. they're ok, the styro lid will be the first thing to break, i'm sure.

the de-scaling chemicals used in industrial boilers comes in a 6 gal bucket with a screw-on lid.
very handy. i keeps out water, stays on if it tips over, and is a lot easier to use than a regular snap on lid from a sheetrock  joint compound bucket.
mcmaster-carr sells them, but i think thy're about 18 bucks
