How's the fishing in the NEK?

Hello Everyone just wondering if anybody has been fishing Magog or big salem for smelt or if the perch bite is been good up there I am thinking about coming up that way within the next couple weeks and just wondering how the conditions are and how the fishing has been so far this year. Please let me know if you don't mind thank you

Buddy of mine was fishin up on strawberry acres up on magog sunday said it was the best fishin day hes had up there, he said there was 16-18in of ice up there, im deff gonna b makin a trip up there soon, havent been up yet.

We fished Salem Sunday got about 3 dozen smelt. But wasn't fishing it very hard for them either. We were getting the shanty set up. No flags but only had 4 tip ups out. Going out again this Sunday to really fish it. Had a good 18 inches of ice.

I fished Salem Mon before New Years and lots of smelt. I set with
smelt for the eyes and left hour after dark - no flags.
