i postponed my outing last saturday because the i was going with an older guy and the ice was good enough for me but i didn't want to chance it.
checked a few spots last night and fished for about an hour out on the hennepin. found a spot nice and locked up with good solid ice. caught plenty of smaller gills. a few that could of been bucket fish. and a handful of smaller crappies. this stretch runs about 5' deep at the most, bigger fish all came in 2-3 ft of water.
