Read the one star comments before buying.  Lots of complaints about holes in the heels after as little as two wearings.

I hope if anyone here grabs the Metabo 36V deal they will report back during or after the season and let us know how the higher voltage does and more important if the 2.5 AH batteries get you the number of holes you need. I think that would have been a great deal if it came with 2 batteries, both 5 AH size.

I have not tried the Metabo, but electric motors can be designed to use whatever voltage, within reason. The biggest thing to remember is that the energy in the battery is Volts*Amps*hours, so a 36V 2.5 AH battery has the same energy as a 18V 5 AH battery.

There is the problem that some manufacturers market batteries by max voltage and come by nominal- 20V and 18V tools in general have the same batteries. My 18V RIdgid as over 20V when full. I don't know what Metabo does, so my math is approximate.

I believe it has been discontinued so NOS ...and after a lil web search no indication of a warmth/insulation factor

I bought one of their suits at least 4 years ago. It is a very well made suit that keeps me plenty warm. The only issue I had was the back of the legs on the bibs are not insulated. I understand this maybe so the suit does not flip you over if you go in the water.
 I just wear a pair of wind pants under the bibs and all is fine.
If you are a size med, it is a great deal.

I like the bibs. Great padding with plenty of storage.  I'd buy another Anorakk suit if they had an XL.

I have one. It’s a bit bulky but warm. Last season I needed to stitch the crotch seam but overall I like it for cold weather. Used it hard for about 3-4 seasons.
