You just need ice fishing to be here already, that's your problem. Go take the boat out and bring your flasher and ice rods along and you'll quit worrying about your new auger.
Mine started to do this slightly last season. For me, it was as simple as tightening the bolt on the top that attaches it to the auger head. I've had this happen on other augers in the past as well, especially after really long, bumpy, runs on the ice. The 'rattling' on the auger loosens that pin every so slightly. All I did was tighten it up and it fixed the issue. To keep it tight, I put some blue loctite on it (still goes in and out) on recommendation from a buddy and it resolved the issue perfectly. Maybe this helps you? Otherwise just call them, Eskimo / ION have awesome customer service.
Yeah, I tried tightening it up but it didn't change. I did speak to a guy that has the same auger and he said there is no wobbling with his.
