Clark Lake-Midwest open

Just signed up for the tournament.  Now we just need ice!!  I have never fished the lake before.  Have heard that the ice there can be a bit shaky.  Apparently it is usually among the last in the are to freeze.  Is there any truth to this?  Hoping to be able to use a quad out there.  Also, what are the quality of the fish like there?  Is it going to be a dink fest?  Are there many decent sized crappie out there?  What are the average size of the fish out there?

State record crappie, nice!!It sure is hard to get any info on the lake.  I am not looking for spots etc....just some info on what the quality of the fish are that we can expect to see.  Hopefully we get ice early enough so my partner and I can shoot over there and give it a go a few times before the tournament.

Chuck and I will be there. Hearing that it will be a tough fish. Crystal clear water very few weeds. Lake map shows lots of structure, lots of places to hold fish and lots of drill'n.
