anyone lose a dog?
« on: Jan 15, 2018, 10:44 PM »
went out to Twin Lakes today (preston area) and was visited a few times by a beautiful golden lab with no collar, and no apparent owner. this lab was still wandering around even after all the other groups had left. we would have brought him home for safekeeping, but couldn't catch him before it got too dark.

if anyone in the preston/clifton area is missing a dog, or knows of someone missing a dog, go look around Twin Lakes, he's either still there or is hanging out with one of the dairy farmers in the area.

Did he look healthy?  He might just be a "free range" farm dog from nearby.

he looked a little underfed when i saw him, but not concerningly so. he was certainly friendly and helpful (when he first visited us, he spent a few minutes fetching all of the fish we had kept, and piling them together in the middle of our group, so he was absolutely a well-trained dog, and not hungry enough to steal fish)

i'll be heading out there again this weekend, so i'll keep an eye out for him.

May have been missing the collar because it broke free of its tie up?

My dog has done that with a choke chain collar...
