At The Gathering last month I was walking through and looking at the prizes before the raffle drawing and saw a few JawJackers and thought to myself that would be something fun to win since I didn't have one and had heard a lot about them. So Keith does the drawing and I walk away with just my tickets no big deal. Walking around after I run into CH who won a JawJacker I told her "Hey that's what I wanted to win" and she said "Can't have it". I have heard that many times before. So Bamb 308 and I head over to talk to the Ben Dover boys AA, BB and some of the other local talent. I look up and Jiggin and CH are walking toward us. Jiggin hands me the JawJacker and says "This is yours". Surprised the hell out of me. CH says"You better take it Jiggin will probably slap himself in one of his heads if he tries to use this". I thanked her gave her a hug and said"I will post my first fish that I catch on this I promise thanks". I went out 3 times and never got a bite I just seemed to put it in the wrong hole. I knew Saturday was my last shot commitments for Sunday. Woke up to a nasty wind and decided to wait til later. Around 5:00 I told Bamb 308 I'll be gone for an hour. Headed for a small pond 10 minutes from my house that freezes up good and is the last one that I fish for the season. Decided only to bring the JawJacker and fish one hole for 1/2 hour. Wicked sloppy so I found a used hole about 15 feet from shore and set it up and sat on the tailgate of the truck. Locked and loaded.

5 minutes go by and it goes up. Jumped up knocked the beer over and headed for it. The pole was jumping when I got there pulled in a small, almost black bow reminded me of those cedar bog brookies we used to catch when I was younger in upper Maine.

So I unhooked the bow shot him back down the hole, packed it in after fulfilling my promise to CH and said goodbye to the 2016-2017 Ice Fishing Season
Good luck everyone on the softwater and thanks again CH for the regift I can't wait to use it next year.

Ya CD I was pissed off at myself for spilling the beer. I lucked out it was half empty if it was half full I would have been really pissed off. >:( It was Schlitz which is hard to find. ::)

You're messing with my mind, Denny.
Always had you down for a half full kinda guy.
I guess if it was half empty, in this case you're still a half full guy. ;)

Nice post Denny. I was out your way Sunday looking to troll nubi. It still had ice no way to launch. Def a different world that way. I might have to invest in a jaw jacker or an automatic fisherman. Is there a big difference?

Wayne I'm not sure. A question for anyone still here. How many JawJackers can you have out? 6? I saw on another forum that they are illegal in Minnesota.
Time to check this flag it has been up since my first trip in December.

Pretty sure that you'll find those JJ's considered the same as a tip up in NH.
So, 6 or 2 allowed where applicable.
I've heard that about Minnesota. It's up to the individual state to determine regs. Pretty sure they're legal in all others.
Not certain about Hawaii?
