jiffy auger parts???
« on: Nov 01, 2009, 04:50 PM »
hey i was wondering if any of you know where i could find a complete carburator for my old jiffy auger. i ran it out of gas last year but for some reason the inside of my got really corroded. and me in my infinite wisdom while i was dismantling it broke one of the throttle plates. or maybe a rebuild kit? depending on if it has the right peices. any would be greatly appreciated thanks!!!!

any good shop can get you the parts for your jiffy. that is if it is still available from tecumseh. if you were not so far away i would help you out with that but pitston to limington is quite a haul.

I called the local shop the other day and he said he didn't even know if he could find the rebuild kit anymore. He said all techumsha's stock is gone... I need a rebuild myself :(

There is a guy on rt 1 in waldoboro that fixes ice augers  ,down near dow furniture . I have never been their myself but haul wood by there daily. Also got a carb kit from Chases toys in unity,me for mine but didn't need it just ran some seafoam gas treatment though it and all was good! Seafoam is like a miracle cure in a can!
Is it ice time yet???

J- where are you located? If you're not too far ill bring it by... The problem I'm having is that it doesn't like to kick up on high idle... I've gone through the posts and steps and adjusted it and it might kick up for a split second on like the tenth straight hole... Also, when I first got it you could tip it to the side and it wouldn't die out, now if you barly tip it to the side it cuts out that second... Any ideas? Thanks
