And fishing for stripers is a good time, also!!!   Do you and fullthrottle pick up strippers in his Sea Nymph?

;-)

Brown shark or people call them sandbar sharks that one at 75ish is low end of average they don't get huge I would consider 150lb big for the cape.

Don't like it when they ride the lip and bump into me at night in the surf.  Its happened at the cape and rhody.

Are you guys aware of stripersonline - it is a forum dedicated to fishing for stripers (mostly).  You should check it out.

I fished vets Wednesday.  Access still holding and lots of ice in the bay.  A 4 wheeler came out, wouldn't take but one of those to ruin the access for everyone.

I am a member but rarely post there.  I like to keep to myself when I chase those fish, especially at the canal.

How much ice was at vets?

Looked like 2-3" getting on, 15" in the bay, more like 8" once you get past the point.

I drove over to check it out there was tracks where people had went out looked like a slushy mess I didn't go out and actually check the condition of the ice looked a little sketchy though. They were getting on wellto the left the shore is shot right at the beach.

Drove down beach road yesterday around 2pm and there wasn't a single sole on the ice as far as I could see! I was actually surprised, I figured there would be at least one die hard left!!

You would have to go way to the left and even then looked like some holes scattered around out there.

Last week was my last trip. Catching a fish isn’t worth falling in. It’s not like we would be catching fish in the spring lol

It actually looked a little better as you went down by the beach and dog beach until you get to close to the other brook. Right in front of the launch looked like the worst of it yesterday.

As of yesterday, cotton is ok in bay only. Ice gets to about an inch anywhere near ridge. Very dangerous.

Hearthstone is ok, maybe 10inches of ice but its very rotten. I was pulling out big chunks of ice from bottom of hole. My auger and blades are brand new. Just not very good ice left.

I wouldnt drive anything onto hearthstone, ice is real sketchy.

Barely anyone out yesterday at all. Didn't bother checking mdb.

Holes are not frozen over. My buddy went up to his knee yesterday at cotton and I found 2 at hearthstone.

I'm done with LG this season.

Be careful out there, the ice is varying in depths all over cotton. Edges at launch for hearthstone were all broken up, had to go from parking area over wooden rails there. I was able to drive 4wd down and back up hill ok.

Getting to be that time of year guys, bring a spud and be careful.

There were about 10 vehicles at Heartstone today, everyone walking. Basin had a few. 4 brave souls on Huddle who  basically walked across an ice bridge between two open areas around docks and used planks to cross a crack in the middle of the ice bridge. Too sketchy looking for me!!!

Fished hearthstone today . If you go over the wood barier the shore there is still solid. Perch bite was good early. Landed two lakers on perch jigs.
