North end of Last mountain at the regional because it freezes first and is shallower and safer for first ice. I hope by the first week in December bring on the COLD! and make it sooner!

Hoping that I can get out on the weekend and punch some holes, which part of the south side usually freezes first?  Little arm?  Regina beach?  Pelican Pointe?

Thanks in advance.

Its only skimmed over up to Lumsden beach and it just started on Friday, it will still be a couple weeks before a guy can get on any productive fishing spots unless you plan on taking the boat out.

lol dude, that's probably a couple weeks away yet. There wasn't ice at Regina beach yesterday let alone in the middle of the lake where the wind/waves are the worst.

I went out to buddies pond yesterday that is only 40'x60' @ 4-12' deep and it maybe had 1-2" of ice, got one little rainbow.

Was on dugout Nov 11.. Was an inch then..It was 3 yesterday and will be 4 this morning. Pond is 300 x100..20 feet deep.. First couple days stayed around a cable going across dugout about 2 feet above the ice.You really need to be careful and know the ice this time of year..With no snow first ice is hard but stay safe..

Anymore updates?
The ice angler is a different breed of fisherman. Undeterred by distance, daylight or degrees, these warriors go to extreme measures to chase down the fish attempting to wait out winter below the frozen surface. Through 10-inch holes positioned amidst miles of ice they engage the elusive walleye one-by-one, yeah it's crazy, and some may never understand it.

What the hell is wrong with people, I thought the guys on sleds up at cigar lake last week were foolish, but driving a vehicle onto LML in November especially this November is insane, I'm speechless.

Hmmm ice season is slowly creeping on us, I'm going to try this Thursday afternoon Regina beach. If people are driving with cars and suv's onto ice OMG talk about nuts but.... I'm sure it's safe for walking onto the ice???

Last dec I just about drove into a hole about 40 feet across that opened up and only had a inch of ice while the rest of the lake had 16 inches.  Driving on now is asking of an early funeral.

Their is still open water in front of Collingwood.  The open water shifted throughout the day as the wind drove the ice South.  The first 200 yards or so of ice is rough and jagged.  Not even close to fishing here!

About 6" of ice at the beach east of liberty, caught one decent pike, then went home after the weather turned.  No vehicles on the ice, just a quad.
