I agree, it is a handy access point. I drove the whole north end of the lake without driving into the little resort areas and I couldn't find one convenient place to get on to the ice. Ended up fishing B-say-tah to the east of the point. What does everyone prefer, Pasqua or Echo? I'd like to find a spot out on Pasqua but I have no idea where to go.

Fort San has an access, Lutherland has one, and there is also one further down from Lutherland. Can be good fishing on both lakes.

I have accessed Pasqua Lake at the boat launch on the SE corner of the lake, just off highway #56 and I have accessed Echo Lake around the Calling Lakes center area on the NE side of the lake. :)

I have never tried it, but you can also access Echo Lake from the very E side by going through the Fort campgrounds.

Be careful around the river mouths and points of any of the lakes. There can be some thin ice to be found in those areas.

Was out on Pasqua today, about 1.5 miles down west of the boat launch and in 15 fet of water.  Water was really clear, 13 inches of ice.  Caught only one Wally, but all in all was a good day.

Are there people driving out onto the lake yet?

I was at Pasqua Sunday, and saw tracks on lake from someone. There was a good 14 inches of ice so it should be good to drive on now.

I tried minnows and earthworms and only seemed to catch jack the other day. Picked up a tub of my preferred bait from Petland... JUMBO meal worms. Usually rip them in half and there nice and juicy. Seems to be fairly cheap compared to the bait shops. Watch out now perch and walters!

Hoping to head out to Pasqua Sunday. Any updates on thickness? Taking the wife and kid so I'm hoping to drive on. Obviously I'll be cautious but with this cold I'm hoping I'm good to go. Can anyone be so kind as to update me, and any hot spots would be most appreciated ;)
