Should have broke out the long rod and trolled off a quad.  Layne nice to see you gets some sketchy ice pics early and late in the season.

We were hammering burbots out of that crack, first time Ive ever trolled in march. This picture was taken 3 days ago and the ice was pretty solid, you couldnt fish this spot yesterday as its almost blown wide open there by now. The ice deteriorated quickly this week, yesterday was just plain spooky so thats it for us.

We might push it a bit but we're out there a couple days a week and watch the ice change day to day, floatation gear, picks and rope are also a must.

Went for a drive yesterday. Seen one quad by pelican point. And seen 2 more around little arm area.    And we wonder why people drown ?  If your that lazy to walk why not wait till may.

Why is it that people insist on risking their life over fishing, think about your families and the people close to you before you do something stupid like going on thin ice. No wonder this lake takes at least 1 life every year and for what to be the cool guy on the website. Most of you that are tempting fate right now should actually be practicing how to launch your boat properly so you don't hold up the locals this spring at the boat launches. Bobber Down!

Well guys, it looks like the weather might be a lot colder for the next few days, now all we need is for the wind to stay away for a couple of days in a row.
I sure hope that this ice season is as good as open water has been this year.
 How about everyone else?
I'm sure that the taxidermists were busy this year.
I'm going to try and concentrate on the Midway Road/Wind Rows area this year. We have been fishing this area this year & mostly it has been really good for Walleye & surprisingly good for jumbo Perch.
Does anyone have any idea when this area freezes up in relation to the rest of the lake?
Hopefully Kinookimaw will freeze soon so a person can get few hours of quality bucket time.
Good luck to everyone & remember to play it safe on thin ice.
Golf is for people that don't know how to fish.
