So 3 weeks ago I was jigging when I had 2 tip-ups go up at once. While I was busy with them my friend yells "your jigging rod". I turn to see the rod that was in the rod holder on my bucket go right down the hole. A big fish, probably a bass, took it straight to the bottom and dragged it out of site in 6 feet of water! Today flag goes up, my brother runs over and grabs the tip-up and guess what he caught? Almost impossible right?

Great story sounds like something you would read in Ripely's Believe it or not. Do something nice for your brother. Curious was the fish still attached to line on the pole and some how swimming and took bait on the tipup.

Nice catch! Lol. Nothing worse than losing something. Nothing better than getting it back.

I believe it. Had a similar thing happen when open water fishing, a carp pulled in my zebco 33. Fishing the nex day I see a rod and reel going across the bottom in about 3 FOW. Waded in and grabbed it and it was my 33.

Great story. On a side note, the fact that you had three hits at the same time is IMHO more the rule than not. Something beyond comprehension triggers fish to become aggressive en mass. I’ve seen it many many times. Who understands the trigger?
