I'm trying to post a pic of my son for my avatar and all it shows is a white box with an "x" in it. In my profili it says "do nothing" by the box. Can some one help please?

first... Make sure it is the proper size.  120 x 120 pixels max
then, only stick in the http address.  Make sure there are no "img" tags attached to it.
