Tipupflag I'm assuming your tip ups have a trip mechanism similar to jack Traps or Heritage Lakers the chainsaw tip oilier should work. If not I believe Jack Traps sells parts for tip ups so you could buy new trip mechanisms if the oilier does not solve your problem. Also look at small gas engine shops besides hardware stores.
Jiger your Polars come apart remove the red plastic cap on top of the notched trip lever. There will be a small nut loosen and remove this allows you to take off the trip lever and remove the shaft and spool.
Take note of how the parts fit together and in what order. Once the tip up is apart use an air compresser or pipe cleaners to remove the old grease from the hollow tube the spool/trip shaft passes through when clean re-lube the tip up. this is done by coating the spool/trip shaft with a light coat of grease also squirt/inject some greaseinto the hollow tube. then insert the shaft back into tube move back and forth to distribute the grease. Then carefully reassemble the tip up in reverse order of how you broke it down.
There should be better directions and possibly photograph of how to re-lube both of your respective tip up's in the tip up forum/community .
One other lubricant to try is HT Enterprise's Blue Lube.
