[CONTEST] Best Ice Fishing Picture
« on: Nov 10, 2004, 10:13 AM »
Dig up all your old or new photos if you're lucky enough to have ice already and find a good one to enter in The Best Ice Fishing Picture Contest. The image entered must have something to do with ice fishing but can be anything from a sunset on beautifully fresh frozen lake, your son or daughter holding up their first fish caught ice fishing or a truck that went in the lake. Including a paragraph or two of description may help but is not needed.

Who will your picture have to impress? Why the 3 judges of course; Bobberstop, Dachmation, and Trapperdirk will be our esteemed  picture critics for this round.

You have until December 1st to enter. The best pic will receive a Embroidered TI Baseball Cap, the lastest addition to the Team Iceshanty merchandise line.

Good Luck!
-Scott

This picture was taken of my daughter inside my portable shack I built myself.  She baited the hook,  set the hook,  and took the hook out herself.
I don't like it here, so I will probably be here for a while.........

There is nothing more enjoyable than the kids and I running for a trap with it's flag flying high. Barbie was there, she only diddles in the shanty and doesn't care to run outside for flags. Since the divorce I no longer see Barbie and only get to see the kids on the weekends. The thing I miss the most is that Jeep 4x4, she got that too. Please let me win.

wolf... this is what i do. hope it helps!
first, you gotta make sure your pics are a reasonable size. (like th+e size of normal photos)
to do this, go to where your pictures are stored. right click on one of them at a time. select open with, choose paint. now the pic should be in paint. if it is huge you need to decrease its size. in the top left corner is file etc.... click on "image". when the pop down comes, select "stretch/skew". you will get a window with a place to change horizontal and vertical... they are at 100%, lower the numbers gradually (keep them the same. like 90 90 and so on) and this will make the pic a decent size. now just click "file select save as... rename it (just add a 1 or something) and go to next step.

next go to www.photobucket.com and register to become a member!
once you are a member, go to the add photo page! here you shouls see a text window that is labeled "add picture" with browse on the other end. click browse, find your pic and hit enter. now the location of your pic should be in the text window. click the submit button below this. in a few seconds, down below this area, you should see you pic... it should have 3 text bars under it. highlight the one that says "IMG" right click it and select copy. go to your message you are typing for iceshanty.com, right click the mouse and select paste. the link to the hosted pic should now be there. when you view the actual post, the picture will be there instead of the text.

its a little tricky wolf, but you will figure it out. what i see is that the IMG is missing at the end. it is important that it be on both ends of the link. thats what turns it into an image on the post.

here is one of my links ( i put spaces into it so that you can see the text. butscrunch that all up and it would translate into a picture on the post because of the IMG on both ends.
here is the actual picture, its my avitar...

hope this helps you get through it!

well, i viewed it and it put the red x there because it was still trying to read it as a link. anyways, just remeber you need these seperated with the picture in the middle. if you have [IMG] at both ends, your pic should appear in the post!

This is a picture of the whole group fishing for lakers up at Taylor Reservoir. The temperature with the wind then was -45 degrees but it was worth it 8)
if anybody from michigan will help me out with the lakes and stuff up here I'd really appreciate it since I'm new to the area.
