Trail lake and Kenai Lake
« on: Dec 30, 2008, 02:22 AM »
Salmon Man and I where thinking of ice fishing trail lake. Either of us have fished this lake but heard through second hand info you can catch small lakers. Does any one have any hints where to start? I was thinking in the water but it's a big lake. I was also thinking of trying Kenai lake does any one know where you can park to pull the ice shanty as close to the outlet of Kenai river and stand on safe ice, might also try in front of quartz creek.

We've fished directly across the lake from quarts creek and done pretty decent in the past.  The lakers seem to move into shallow water at night to feed (20-40ft).    Durring the day they are a lot more spread out.    Let me know when you go and we might meet you out there.
U give a man a fish, u feed him for a day....I teach a man to fish.HE CATCHES ALL THE FISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
