More hard luck yesterday - fishing in 100 foot depth. I had a nice heavy take early on, only to have the fish slip the hook. Kept at it for a few hours marking only a few fish - then my buddy managed to entice a good strike and set the hook on this nice laker. Noticed a fresh cisco dangling out of its mouth as we took a couple photos.
Trooper came by to check license, chatted for a while - About 5 other groups on the lake (3 of which I knew) - visited with one group of about 4 adults and a couple of younger kids that was out BBQ grilling (ended up knowing someone that knew as well) - 20 inches of solid ice on the lake.
