What's a good quality laker jigging rod/reel combo and where can I get one?  Also, what is the recommended line type and poundage?

Thanks- Mike

You can get one from Cabela's online or at Fish 307. I like a Medium action St. Croix Premier rod and reel combo. 8lb test, I like to use Trilene line, but everyone likes different lines.

The new Genz combo is real nice.  Great backbone, nice bait cast reel.  The reel is much better quality than the spinning reels on the panfish rods.  Goes for $59.99 at Bass Pro and Gander.

Check out the ones from Thorne Bros. They are a little pricey but you get what you pay for and most of them carry a lifetime warranty.  www.thornebros.com
