either kick it down the hole or as the fish fights the line knocks it down the hole. Its not a bad Idea and would prolly help out here and there.

I thought it was wierd that there were no photo's of it actually in use on the ice?

If the price was right I would give it try.

I could have used that up at Simcoe last year when I went in nearly up to my shoulder to grab the whitefish that got off my grandson's hook as he hefted it from the hole. Of course if I had that he would have caught it in a different hole. Murphy's Law, you know.

I am with icejunky I probably would give it a try too if I saw one in a store around here.
I think if it had 2 grips instead of one it would not fall down the hole but still clear slush and haul up fish. ;D

I can't believe that someone is manufacturing this rig! My brother-in-law made a couple a few years back - he calls them the fish saver. They work great! You dont put it in the hole until you get a flag and are almost ready to land the fish. Your buddy is holding the fish saver while you land the fish.

There goes another chance of him getting rich..........he made a remote car starter back when he was in highschool........25 years ago.  :-\

If you are going to keep the fish, doesnt a gaf work just as well?, and if you wernt going to keep the fish, its rough to loose one, but it was a healthy release at leaste.
It doesn't matter if you didn't catch anything as long as you had fun.

I agree with the extension on the scoop trick.  If the marketed fish saver where smaller in height i would maybe purchase.

Looks like one more way to lose a fish at the hole because your line wrapping :cookoo: around something.
