Little ossipee ice conditions

Has anyone heard how thick the ice is on little Ossipee lake in Waterboro? I'm looking to go there opening day and wanted to see if it was safe!

Going to try it as well. I was on a lake near Little O today and had 10”. Oddly there was some liquid slush under the snow too.

There is about 9 inches of good ice on the back side of Little O

2 shacks were out near shore yesterday. The spot in the middle that takes forever to freeze was still open earlier in the week but was locked up yesterday. Some sled tracks already and an ice rink up by the dam. Someone was fishing by backburns also yesterday, no one was fishing by the launch when I went by in the morning but someone had been. I think it goes to 5 traps on the 1st.

3-5” on the front side by boat launch, not sure if you ended up going today but when I got there at 5am it was -22. Still slush on top. Closer to shore 6”. Stay away from the lakeside area for a while..
