Went out today and only had one bite.
Caught this 45" using a live blue gill and a (left over from fall cat fishing) chunk of chicken liver. It was the only line we had the chunk of liver on. Caught him on a $17 medium light action cheap Berkly ice rod with my pflueger president spinning reel with #15 powerpro and a wire leader with a #6 treble hook on it. I love catching the pike on small ice rods, it's loads of fun! I have also had success using a piece of canned anchovy on one of my treble barbs.
