Maple Creek
« on: Jan 13, 2018, 11:38 AM »
My daughters and I fished Maple last Sunday. We didn't move arounf a lot but drilled a lot of holes around a group of trees north of the highway. The bite was very slow. Lots of nibblers and only iced I dink gill. Lots of ice though. Does anyone have any general tips for our next trip there. I've heard great things so I think it is worth another go.

Fished it today and had the same success as you, almost, I caught no fish. I fished out in the main part of the lake over the old creek bed. I have fished it lot's over the years and for me it is always very hit or miss. I have generally found small fish north of the highway and better fish in the main lake. Lot's of fisherman by the trees on the south side today. Good Luck.

Thanks for the info. I think we are going to try Willow tomorrow. I'll post a report.
