Last trip of 2006-2007 ice season?
« on: Mar 22, 2007, 11:38 PM »
Was out today after school for some perch and within 30 seconds after getting my line set fish on! wasnt that big, still big enough to keep and a good way to start off the day. within 2 1/2 hours i landed 12 perch but only 5 big enough to keep, Jesse on the other hand didnt manage to hook up with one. it was a nice day out, warm enough to wear a thin jacket, no gloves and a hat but as soon as the sun setted it got cold fast. most the snow is gone off the lake and there is a few inches of top water but it isnt bad yet.

last weekend i headed out with danny and i managed about 20 perch mostly throughbacks and one burbot and he only got one perch but also was the biggest of the bunch.

the three biggest of the bunch all over 11 inches danny's was just shy of 12

my burbot a 25 inch saskatchewan fatty

more pics from last weekend

caugh alot of perch around this size, the only downfall to using small lures...

the ice was around 36 inches in most places more in the bays

the weekend mode of trasportation Polaris Ranger 6X6 this thing is the ultimate vehicle!

this will probably be my last outting this year till open water season opens up in may :'( but a good way to end the year.
