Clam Nanook XL Thermal poles collapsing
« on: Feb 03, 2021, 03:15 PM »
Hey guys just a quick question for you. I just recently picked up a new Clam Nanook XL thermal shack and am in the process of putting everything together. I have yet to install the thermal cloth covering for the shanty and only have the sled and poles setup. I noticed that whenever I rotated the poles forward(or go to flip the poles forward when setting up the shack) past a certain point, they would all collapse toward the front. Is this because of something I did wrong when installing the poles or is it something that will be fixed when I put the thermal tarp on? Just want to make sure I didn't mess up the install before drilling the thermal tarp in.

once you get the tent on the poles and properly tightened and hooked to the back of the sled this goes away.

Here is a link to a video that will make installing the tent easier on all the houses regardless of model :

Thanks a bunch! The problem went away once the tent was drilled into the sled
