Ever heard a bluegill cough?
« on: Sep 18, 2006, 07:16 PM »
Not only are bluegills one of the best tasting fish under the ice, apparently they are being used to detect toxins in municipal water supplies by monitoring their "coughs."  According to the researcher, "there's no known manmade sensor that can do the same job as the bluegill."  Pretty cool article can be found here.

I've never heard a bluegill cough, but I have seen a halibut puke.  Yes, it's nasty!

Does the doc have Mr. Blue turn his head when he coughs? ;D
Fish may be stupid but I've never seen a perch sitting in a boat with a second degree sun burn trying to catch a man.

If those gills are coughing so much, they'd better get them  off the cigarettes and on the patch!
I wondered why it was getting so smokey in my tent. I thought I was just getting my toes a little too close to the heater!
