shallow or deep?
« on: Nov 22, 2014, 06:23 PM »
where do you guys have the bet luck in the winter? shallow structure are or deep. ive put in my time now on one of my favorite summer bass lakes. all day and night you can catch them along shallow ledges or the shoreline or sunken trees. that particular lake you need to fish the very bottom of ledges out onto the flats to get into them.
The BIG one is just one flag away!

Species caught : largemouth, smallmouth,  bluegill, perch, White perch, crappie, trout, catfish, bowfin, pickerel, pike

I do best in 4-15 feet.  Have caught bass at many depths but on average I'd say my bait is down 4-6 feet in 6-15 feet of water.  Most lakes I fish are 35' or less.  Mostly less.

Follow the fall pattern fish.  Some are still shoreline structure orientated, while others have gone to open water flats.
For more information read my MN nice journal
