Here is a close up of one of 4 supports that hold the top 2x6 boards. My pin is in the base as you can see. This way my top boards don't have a pin in them so nothing to catch, hit etc. when loading-unloading, Just a hole in them. I went with 2x6 top boards for the extra support. Works great!(Image removed from quote.)
SHAKE its a 3\8" stainless rod with a small bevel on the end. I ground 2 notches in the bottom to help hold it and used epoxy to hold them in. Its 4" long. I didn't like the pin coming out of the 2x4, pinwanted to snag what ever it touches. So this is what I came up with. I used a 2x6 for my top boards so my hut had a little more to sit on, Press it on and in, pop it off with a small hit from underneath. Worked great! Had my heavy flip-over and my sons flip-over stacked on it and it still pulled easy
Wondering what ya think ? I'm thinking of a "Rigid Smitty". Got the idea for this from another post - somewhere on this site ... Anyways the plan a universal gutter mount cargo carrier, mounted to angle iron on the skies. (Image removed from quote.)
