1st montana fish threw the ice

im as giddy as a school girl ! caught my first fish threw the ice today. I caught 2 nice rainbows 1 was close to three pounds. was at the causeway in helena. happy days !

nice fish love the pic  can't wait to get out there  hope to hit the ice here this weekend  kind of scetchy ice and mid 40's but thats the way it goes

Hey little school girl. There might be awsome trout fishing out there but there are no race tracks. Can't wait to see the pics budski is going to email me. Good luck and tight lines. We are still waiting back here. Cut a couple test hole today in Berlin had about 2.5" Looks good for next weekend if it gets cold. Does the beer taste any better on the ice out there. Now you'll have to get 1 of those Helena Res. salmon
