Title: Livescope
Post by: Hutchmt on Oct 11, 2021, 11:11 PM
Hoping someone can help me on here.  I was able to get a good deal on a Livescope unit this summer for ice season and I was wondering if those that have one would recommend still having a traditional transducer to use with it.  The GT10 is another $170, but I don't want to get it if it's not needed.  I'm aware of issues with depth and whatnot, but I'm curious if there is any other time that a regular ducer would be a better option than the Livescope?

Use that extra $170 on batteries, Livescope makes all traditional sonar obsolete.

Shallow water I’m more using my camera or vex, but that’s about it.
