Just heard of these stores out n Midwest.Iowa,Il,think ND.Kinda like a bass pro I guess with a Ferris wheel in them.

Unlike Bass Pro, Cabelas and Sportsman's they are employee owned. I've ordered from them fairly often. Good customer service and have great sales. Wish we would get one in Pa. or Md.

Just grabbed some tinglers from them last night, already on their way, buy a lot of hunting equipment from them as well

Great store. I've bought fishing gear, pistols, ammo, holsters from 'em. No probs on returns, either. We have a big one here in town, multi level with escalators...

Really happy with the purchases I've made there. I bought some Hot Shot Savage gloves -- camo ones for hunting, and I LOVE them. They have a black pair for fishing that aren't as fuzzy, so I may try those out, too.

I made some after season purchases at Scheels. Customer service was excellent and they accept PayPal. No logon required.

As others have said already Scheel's is a great store.
I can't stand Bass Pro and Cabela's. I just had an issue again with them offering a great deal and ordering it and having it cancelled but surprisingly the other stuff i ordered didn't get cancelled. They've been doing this for years and they are either inept and have an archaic inventory / ordering system or they do it intentionally knowing that they will sell lots of other stuff that gets ordered along with the great deal. Most recently I had an order cancelled on Saturday at Bass Pro and the same item was available on Sunday at Cabelas and I ordered it and that got cancelled as well.

Scheels is a good store. With all the positive press they are getting, they should consider advertising on IS.
