If you have a question, suggestion, or comment about the 2013 Ice Shanty New York Brag'n Tournament, we are all ears and will help answer, solve, or take any suggestions or comments to the best of our abilities.

Fellow NY'ers,
Do you think we should run the tourney just for the months of Janurary and Feburary, or keep it the way we have it already with including the month of March too?
Personally if we have a normal ice fishing season, we are on the ice into April, so I vote, running all 3 months will be the ticket. :clap:
But, if we have the same ice as last year, we'll end it either 2/28/13 or 3/15/13!!

No reason not to keep it until march. If we get early ice out you can change it but i would let it be.

I hate too but this is rule #1.
1) Contest will run from 1/1/12 @ 12:01am to 3/31/12 @ 11:59pm.
a.) You must be a member of Team New York* before 12/31/11 @ 11:59pm
*(MUST have “NY” or "New York" in your profile Location to be eligible)
If meet rule #1 you can get into NY's bragging tourney.

I beleive that only open water closes thru the ice is still open just like bass is on the couple finger lakes for ice. take a look
And do i have to have one of the Team IS 2013 flag on my profile or whats up with that. and why wouldnt u include december most places have early ice by dec 15 just a thought

And as far as having Dec. in the tourney, think of it as a prefish, the tourney starts just like the Ice Shanty's tourney because we are using the I.S. tourney's cards, again, check out and read the rules and regs, then if you have more questions, let us know. --thanks

yes it would, I've been cut and pasting the same thing for about a week now, but the RULES AND REGS are have been corrected for a while.
Anyone else see any more typo's IN THE RULES AND REGS MAIN POST. :wacko:

Now that you mention it.....
8) You can upgrade and post another larger fish then previously posted at any time IF it bets out a fish on the current Leader Boards. Please look at the Leader Boards (Monthly and Overall) before posting an upgrade to make sure that you are posting a bigger and qualifying fish to be on the Leader Board, or your post is subjected to be deleted.

what about profile signature medals like the one I have for first, second, and third.... just an idea... I made the one I have because whoever made them in the past for the iceshanty Tourny doesn't anymore. If you want I could make those since I already have a template just need to change a couple words I could possibly make it the shape of NY as well

sounds like a great idea.
we'll get in touch thru PM about ideas on how we'll do up the badges for the 2013 NY only tourney. ;D
We don't want the cat out of the bag too early as to the layouts of the badges. ;)

I see your location is Maryland, but if you have a house and live in NY, then yes.

that is a no brainer....if you live in NY and fish in NY you can enter fish in the NY only ISNY tourney.

I'll put a link up in the rules to help guide a few to the IS tourney cards when they become avalible.

NEW RULE
12) Any Fish that is smaller than anything on the leader board if posted won't be measured and red colored check'd'n.
NEW STUFF WILL BE IN GREEN

red is checked in ...... yes keep your pictures up on an upgrade. Any small size fish won't have measurements on the check in. ;D

CRAZY!!!!
finally got it to work by posting the picture in a message, then copying the (img) line and pasting that into my signature. That was the only way I could get it to work.

the way I got my pics to work in signature was with using CAPS in the 1st [IMG thing and using lower case in the 2nd brackets [/img
so it would look close to this
[IMG] image code [/img (with ] at the end of /img])

All 2014 ISNY bragg'n rights badges have been PM'd out.
In each message is the direct link and image of the badge.
If you have a problem linking your images, try doing a reply to my message, then cut and paste the 2nd link which is the display code for the site.

Got my 1st email on the NY brag'n tournament for the up coming ice season.

People said they would do it last year, but the entries were very weak last year.
So do you guys still want to do it ??
And if we do it, NO GIVING LONEWOLF A HARD TIME ABOUT HIS MEASUREMENTS TO MINE!!!

the same 4 or 5 or 6 guys......now, now, try and get more involved.
We had a major decline in entries last year. If it's the same this year, this will end up being the last year of playing around with our little NY brag'n only tourney. That is unless someone else wants to put their time into this.
It's fun and all, but just isn't really worth it if we are only going to get the same 6 people entering. :'(

You use the main Ice Shanty tournament card when it is released at the opener which is normally Jan. 1st.
There will also be a link to the tourney card in the rules and regs once the card is released, I'll update the rules.

If you go to the help/FAQ topic just a few down from the top of the forum and inside there are 2 topics about posting pictures to the forum.

1st you need a place on the internet to store and link to your pictures.
2nd cut and paste the link to this forum.
3nd if your cut and paste does NOT include the "IMG" link tags, highlite your link and click the insert image button, it will add the "IMG" link info for you.

Your profile shows your NY location and you are all set.
Please get an internet uploading website so that you can link your pictures to the forum.

Sorry ladies and gents,
I don't have the time this year to run and handle the N.Y. brag'n tourney.
It sucks, my job was eliminated back in Oct. and with my new employment, I don't have any extra time to handle this. I'll just be happy if I even get a handful of days on the ice this year.
Hope everyone has a fun and safe ice season.
