I don't think I would be able to do that out on the ice. I have a tough enough time just gettin a waxie stuck on a hook sometimes, lol!

Interesting....but I would have to agree, there's no way I could do that on the ice.  Not sure there would be any benefit to it either, except maybe the minnow would not die as fast.

why not just buy a rubber worm threader ? from some were like bass pro?  I think I paid 5.95 for mine and just thread it on the line? like said start from the anus to the mouth with the rubber worm threader... slide the line in to the tube pull threader out line should be stinking out the anus and tie on a treble hook or other?

Great for short biting walleye.  However, it would be easier to just pinch the tail off and leave the head on the hook.
