Title: Final voyage
Post by: Bryfish84 on Feb 24, 2018, 03:24 PM
Looks like last night might be my last trip out in the ice this year in central Iowa. I'm not going to make it back up to Clear Lake or the IGL's. The rain and the warm temps coming this week will more than likely make the ice prettt unpredictable around here. I guess I will have to start thinking about early spring walleye fishing on Clear Lake now.

Where are you taking the boat for the first outing of the year?

I'm headed to Clear Lake Friday and Saturday... even if I have to walk out.
One last trip!

Drove by a few lakes today, people are still driving on them. Snow is finally starting to melt. West Fork and East Fork of the Des Moines river still locked up from Algona to Estherville. A small stretch by Emmetsburg was open. It's going to be awhile for open water up here.
