April Trout

When you go for Trout in April, is your old license good or do you have to get one for the 2014-15 season?

I don't think you can get a new liscence till opening day. I have been wrong before though.

Your license is good till the end of March unless you are in the northern zone.  Otherwise u need a new one for stocked trout.

You will need a new license in order to fish in April, the old license expires on 31 March. The best place to get it is online because then you are guaranteed to get it. The big box stores and many other licence issuers don't seem to get their licenses til closer to opening day. I have had some success with issuers close to certain popular trout lakes but I will always get mine online now that that is an option.

Order your license?  U mean hit print? I didn't know u could even get one at a store anymore, seems easy enough to do at home last year I had mine april 1st

Yes, get those licenses renewed because there is a real untapped fishin resource here with this new regulation. I'd been fishin the april trout bite in Manitoba for years, and all I have to say are that the numbers and size of fish caught are unreal!! Fish on guys!!
