After 3 years I finally convinced my wife to come out in the ice with me. Turns out she had a great time and wants to go again.

Yah that’s great doing things together and she does look happy even pulling the sled    Me? I’ve asked the bride of 40yrs to join in on the boat trolling and on ice.  No interest.  Just as well, my downtime of peace and quiet

i took my wife ice fishing before we merried. had to see if she had true grit ya know. lol  i have it wrote in my map book.  it was 0* with 10mph winds that night.  no shanty just a bucket. jiggin for trout around the light.  i put her in my old flight deck suit and a pair of black mickey's.  she never got cold but me and my buddy were freezing to death.  my buddy still remembers that cold night over 25yr ago.

Nice !! Finally getting my bride of 45 years interested as well , pan fishing close to home,  taking her to LOTW next month , got a sleepe shack booked for 3 days , hoping that in total comfort mite really get her " hooked "

Yeah thanks guys, we are planning to go again soon. Sounds like some of you have gone down this path before with mixed results. Ha ha hopefully she continues to like it.

Nothing better than having a wife for a fishing buddy! We went ice fishing on our honeymoon and spent many years of fishing and camping together! Now that she's gone it's just not  as much fun. Treasure those years you can do it together because it doesn't last forever.
