Had a dream last night of being on the hardwater! Lets go!  ;D
-
I’m simultaneously embarrassed and proud to say I never fully packed my gear away from last year. Jig rods are still on my work bench, sled still leaning against the garage next to the smitty... honestly, if there were walkable water right now I’d be able to be on it in 20 minutes. ;D
It’s funny seeing an ice rod leaning against the wall next to an 11’ surf rod.
Now that I see it in writing I’m actually kind of embarrassed at my laziness.
Feel like I get some points for being ready though ???
-
First hard frost of the season up my way the other (Wednesday) night.
-
Having a great time fishing the soft water this year. Left to go fishing in my kayak the other morning and it was 38 degrees out. That started me thinking about the coming ice fishing season.

You’re not lazy, you’re “efficient”. Think of all the time you gained by being in a “perpetual state of readiness”. And if there’s Christmas in July you will be styling.

I'm getting ready. A little here, a little there. burp.

That's my prediction.
Anybody else want to play?

I think last year was the earliest I ever started my ice fishing season here in Western Worcester county; December 15th. I fished up until March 20th. Can't wait to get out again. Today I ordered another Jaw jacker and ice rod. Hopefully I wont have to wait too long to use them.
-
33 degrees this morning boys!
-
I have my drill batteries all charged up! I'm ready.
-
I also never really unpacked, just rolled the sled into the basement. Now that it's deer season again I'm going to have to clean everything out. The ion batteries are charging....
-
Was December 11 last year for me We can only hope for a bit earlier this season
-
i'm being cautious..60 days. hopefully less. come Nov 1, it's time to get everything ready.
