Title: be careful in the hills.

a buddy of mine went through at green mountain yesterday.   he was walking in a group and in between the ice gave and down he went.
friends were able to rescue him quickly, and he had a floating ice suit that kept him nice and dry.
my guess is they walked across a pressure ridge that probably got rotten under slushy conditions, or some old ice holes that drained out the water and got unsafe over time.
this slush sucks for ice fishing.. hope it goes away soon so i can finish off the ice season in style.

Callovthemackinaw, Thanks for the reminder as it is that time of year.  Lots of ice over here still. Hoping to be icing Blue Mesa into April, but that might be optimistic. It痴 been a long time since there was this much ice on blue, so I知 going to take advantage of it.

Pretty sure they are still ice fishing back East. Next 2 weeks are going to be pretty iffy , stay safe!
