Northland spoons (minus the Buckshot spoon) with a hali chain dropper, rigged with various soft plastics....and when that doesn't work, simple Genz bugs tipped with plastics...

Ditto on the northland w/ dropper chains, Just got some of the 1/16th sleder spoons and put droppers on them, I'll bet it will be a hot lure this season !

I still have two rods always setup, one with a perch glow hali and the other with a Diamond jig in red glow. Both tipped with maggots.

If I had to pick just one jig...

Northland tackle - Grasshopper Mud Bug sz 10.

I have caught so many gills on this jig in all types of water. I have caught: gills, crappie, pumpkinseed, perch, pike, bass, rainbow trout, bullhead and rockbass on this one jig. Its my go-to jig.

Also by Northland I like the gill getter.

I also love the diamond jigs, and gill pills. I am not a fan of the hooks though, not sharp enough. I file mine to get them sharp.

Also great jigs are fiskas.

I also like CMT tackle jigs super shad and the glow butts. I bought a ton of them and I love them for particual gills and perch. Plus the guys there are really nice guys to deal with. They didnt have the combo I wanted so they sent me double of a color pattern they suggested that I didnt already order.
I love fishing. You put that line in the water and you don't know what's on the other end. Your imagination is under there. -Robert Altman

Thanks man. That's what my box looked like last year. I've added some more tungsten jigs to that box ... as well as a few other boxes as well! One could say that I might have a slight tackle addiction ;D

There are worse things to be addicted to, and ther's no such thing as having too many jigs. I really like using micro-plastics with a Fat boy or diamond jig. Those are my go to lures and they seem to work even better with a little plastic.

Thinking on trying some natural hair jigs this winter and getting into making my own jigs to see if I can get a leg up on the competition. I see this year as a lot of trying a new things.

My go to jig is a small Hali with the jewel on the bottom. Just the right size for an Ice Mite Jr from J & S or two spikes if they want live bait that day. Still getting used to tungsten. I bought a nice selection from Sportsmensdirect last year and worked them I'm. Can't wait to get on the ice again this year.

I always have a #12 hot pink rocker-style teardrop, a #14 chartreuse tungsten jig and a #12 black/red fleck rocker teardrop when I hit the ice.
