Flasher battery for running portable DVD
« on: Jan 07, 2012, 09:44 PM »
My 2 year old's attention span is short and anything I can do to keep her happy being out on the ice is better. What do I need to use to make this work? I am thinking that I would just need spade connectors, wire(duh), a fuse assembly, and a 12V female cigarette lighter adaptor. It plugs into my truck's cig lighter so I think my logic is ok. I have a battery pack inverter but it's heavy and the battery life sucks. Had I know the DVD player didn't have a battery option I would have bought another. Hindsight is 20/20 I guess.

I've run the same set-up for 5 yrs now.  My daughter won't go out w/o it.  I can usually get a full day's use out of a 7 amp/hr battery.  It all fits into one case.  Got to keep the kids happy or it's a short trip.

Yep. I'm going to go get the parts today ;D

BTW, I was born and raised in GF. I wish all of the little casinos hadn't moved in to town. I was going to retire back home but the town has changed to much since I've been gone...
